Poll: Tripod or monopod for hiking?

If you are going on a hike, are you taking a monopod or tripod?

Me?  Right now today, tripod but been thinking about getting one of those monopods with the feet on the bottom.

Monopod - because these make great walking sticks!  Most time there is great light so don't really need tripod.

IBIS  ;)

I have two tripods, one is always in the car, just in case. I don't do long/multiple exposure stuff and the IBIS in the A7RV is so good I haven't used them in ages. Perhaps if I do a moon shot but that's very rare.

Agree, IBIS!  That said, I do enjoy having a walking stick, so do bring a monopod with me.

Whether in studio, close  to my car or hiking, I choose my camera support according to the subject: monopod if it's moving, tripod if it's stationary.

Peak Design tripod, it's small and lightweight.  So I always have it

Tripod - when it gets dark, I'll get more use from the tripod
