Photo printer recommendations

2 years 2 weeks ago #737057 by Adam S
I don't print that often and haven't printed anything in some time.  BUT going to change that up.  I would like to try to get my hands on a good photo printer and some high quality paper for the prints.  Can you make some suggestions please?  Thank you folks.

Epson has better depth in colors and true blacks though.

Consider including a budget in your post. Epson, on the other hand, provides more depth to colors and truer blacks.

That's the key is true blacks, I think both Canon and Epson do a really good job with their pro line of printers.  I think however I would go with Epson P700 or P800.

I have a Canon G7020 and absolutely love it. The print quality is great and it has the large ink wells so you not paying an arm and a leg for ink refills. I can't say enough good things about this printer.

my ageing HP Officejet 8620 is giving up the ghost. It needs a new printhead, turns itself off frequently, and is doubtless going to cost more to repair than its currently worth. Given that I've just received some new Instant Ink cartridges in the post it seems like a good time to look for a replacement as I can just send the ink straight back. I'm looking for a compact, up to date all in one colour inkjet printer (print/scan/copy) that I can use wirelessly/set up as an air printer and that will handle medium loads (say, no more than 100 pages per month). Any recommendations and/or good deals around - it doesn't have to be HP but I'm assuming the only other contender would be Canon?

HP photo paper is what I'm using for last 8 years.  Does what I expect out of it.

I am looking to buy a new all-in-one printer. I am thinking if I should get a color ink-jet or a black and white laser. I occasionally print photos, but I think the cost of ink and the need to replace the cartridges every a few months, is not really worth it. I have been using Canon printers for years, but I have had enough of them.
