Charging for use of my Image on Business Website and Facebook

4 years 8 months ago #658115 by Suziq62
Hi
A newby here...  Have had a search and can't find the answer to this question, apologies if I have missed it.
An acquaintance has contacted me after hearing a made a sale - a whopping 37 cents - on a stock photography site.  She has offered to pay more to use it on her business website and her facebook business page.
I am not sure how to do any of this as I have only ever sold prints.
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Sue

1) Fotoquote, if you want to invest in it.
2) Image licensing is usually based on size, usage, duration, expected number of eyeballs, etc. I would think that a stock photography site would let you work out what that might run, once you have the details, but maybe not. First thing you need to do is find out how long they want to use the image.

Many will license for a set period (1-3 years) then re-license if necessary.

Thanks Gary
They run a caravan selling business based in the country and want to attract buyers to purchase with the intention of heading on a coastal holiday.  I suspect a spring and summer campaign so probably six months.
I will ask more questions and go from there.
Much appreciated.
Sue
