CostCo Photo throws in towel | Upcoming Bottlenecks for Nikon and Canon

3 years 3 months ago #708010 by Alex
Canon’s profits exceeded expectations in 2020, but Costco’s printing service struggled, leading to its demise. And with new COVID-19 restrictions in place in Japan, Canon and Nikon might struggle to fulfill orders and roll out new products. We’ll discuss all these topics and we’ll also go over the details of our current giveaway in this episode of PhotographyTalk.

Guess that was a timely review of the Epson printer. Have to do some googling to find a new place to get photos done. Or just bit the bullet and pick up a printer and do it myself.

So after so many years of doing this or that and life itself getting in my way, I am now at the point where just slowing down and doing things I have put off I have concluded that its time to become creative and do what I want.
Thanks for giving me a place to get started. :-)

Was Canon's profit just in it's imaging (solely cameras) sector or as a company overall? I ask because they are a very diversified company, not just cameras but printers and a whole host of other products...As for Costco, I never used their photo lab anyway....

RIP CostCo Photo.  It's been years since I have used them.  But they have great service otherwise.  Looking forward to Covid to be over so we can get the samples.

Very surprised, our CostCo photo center always seemed so lively.  I wonder what they will do with all their equipment?
